Back to Business

So last time I said I would post 10 times in a row, and I think I only made it to 8. I'll try to do better this time. My goal is to be caught up in about 2 weeks... will it happen? Anyone care to place a bet?

Here are some photos of Desmond, Ron and me in our "backyard," which is really just a dirt parking lot with some pretty ivy on the walls. They were taken on July 4th, when D was about 9 months old. The last photo is all of us in the car, though you can't really see D 'cause he's in his carseat. Still, cute photos of mommy and daddy are a rarity these days, so I've included it.

Baby Containers

Once you have a baby you realize you need an assortment of items to put them in. You need to experiment, because babies will be fond of certain containers and will hate others. For example, we tried getting Des a "bouncer" (a vibrating seat) on the advice of other parents, but he hated it. Here are some of the things he manages to put up with, though if he had his way, he would be held 24/7.
Swaddled and strapped into his swing (thanks Aunt Jana!)
Asleep in the car seat (This is rare -- generally he screams in his car seat until it's in the car and we've been driving for a few minutes)
Asleep in his crib, cozy under Aunt Elaine's blanket (also rare -- he much prefers to sleep on Dad's chest)
